Isaiah Allen

Isaiah was recommended by his friend, Matthew, to join the team later in the year. The welcoming community it provides and the laidback atmosphere drew him to continue pursuing this interest. When Isaiah is not at robotics, Isaiah is in his armed drill team for Vanden's JROTC program. He is also planning on joining track later in the year. After high school, he plans on pursuing a career in education.

Matthew Asturias

For Matthew, community is a huge part of being on a team. After discovering the program through the school's club fair, he found that the welcoming connections between members almost reminded him of home. Along with that, Matthew is also fascinated by the many machines he uses in his work. In the future, Matthew plans on attending UC Berkeley or UC Davis.

Ryan Bauer

Software Engineering Committee Member

Ryan joined robotics because he wanted to learn skills for his future like coding. Friends with similar interests sparked his interest in being on the team. Learning about all the committees, coding on the computers and being with his friends is Ryan's favorite part about robotics. Outside of robotics, Ryan likes to relax at home after homework. He also has a special interest in astronomy which he would hope to pursue at Stanford University.

Chase Burritt

Though Chase is known for his performance in wrestling and football, Chase finds engineering a fun pastime to help develop his academic foundation. He especially enjoys mechanical engineering for its CNC manufacturing and welding subcommittees. In terms of his future, he hopes to enroll into a sought after medical school to become a paramedic.

Neil Chanan

Planning to major in computer science, Neil joined robotics specifically for the software engineering program. Outside of robotics, Neil plays basketball competitively, whether he's playing with friends or family. After high school, Neil wants to pursue computer science further by attending UCLA.

Logan Delgado

Logan was motivated to join robotics ever since he wanted to become a software developer or a career related to computer science. After hearing about robotics through his mother, he wanted to develop this understanding of software engineering and develop new friends in the process. Outside of robotics, he participates in Vanden's Academic Decathlon. He plans on getting his masters in computer science.

Dylan Higgs

Looking for a challenge, Dylan discovered VEX EDR for the RoboStangs with his classmates. As time went on, he wanted to continue this program even further because of the teamwork aspect and learning opportunity. An outgoing personality, seeing friends participating in the same interest also inspired him to proceed with the field. Although Dylan is in his freshman year and unsure of what college to pursue, he hopes to develop a career centered around helping others in his community.

Paxton Hill

Hearing suggestions by his friends about the experiences they have in the club, Paxton decided that robotics was the decision for him.  Meeting friends with different skills, hobbies, and dreams, the fact that the program is student-led makes the program all the mightier. When he is not at robotics, he hangs out with friends, swims in his pool, and tinkers with things around his house. Just like his committee, Paxton plans on becoming an electrician through trade school.

Jaden Humphrey

Ever since 5th grade, Jaden found robotics very interesting , especially when working with friends and new faces. When he is not at robotics, Jaden builds his portfolio through traditional art, taking inspiration from his experience in video games. Though he has a lot of research to do in terms of college, he looks forward to building a strong foundation right now by participating actively in the club.

Matthew Kennedy

Matthew found out about robotics through his friends and enjoys the sense of community that robotics brings him and the group activities he participates in. Outside of robotics, Matthew is in AFJROTC and does armed drills. With spare time left, Matthew tends to read the news, watch Youtube videos, and listen to his thorough music playlists. He plans on going to Sacramento and majoring in communications after high school.

Noah Leibert

Noah’s favorite part of robotics is the ability to be creative with an end goal in mind. With an interest in designing before, he found Computer-Aided Design his creative outlet since he can not do traditional art anyways. Additionally, he loves learning about all the machines, such as the plasma cutter and CNC milling machine. He swims competitively for the school and works at his synagogue as a Teacher’s Assistant for their Sunday School. After high school, he aims to enter the field of mechanical engineering at a high-end college.

Amelie Martin

The desire to learn something out of her element persuaded Amelie to explore FIRST robotics, first discovering the program on our very website. She values being a team member as a strong fundamental of the robotics experience. However, robotics is not the only thing she does. A motivated individual, she performs ballet and a critical role in her debate, finance, and Anchored4Life clubs. For the future, she is looking into the University of Minnesota with a major relating to science.

Joshua Pacheco

Joshua joined robotics because he wants to become a mechanical engineer and has been participating in it since 7th grade. His favorite part is the hands-on learning about the robot. He plans to pursue mechanical engineering or computer science at UC Berkeley or UC Irvine. Outside of robotics, Joshua enjoys playing sports like boxing, wrestling, and basketball. He also likes to lifts weights and hangs out with his extensive friend group often.

Riley Poole

Riley was inspired to try out robotics in middle school. Seeing how much she enjoyed VEX EDR, she pursued this interest into high school, joining the Vanden Robotics team. Something she appreciates about FRC is experiencing how diverse perspectives from different team members foster teamwork, allowing her to become more social with her friends. Riley reads and watches movies frequently with family and friends. She plans on becoming an English teacher by studying at the University of Washington Bothell in humanities.

Keira Relph

Keira joined robotics after attending competitions with her brother, Liam, since elementary school. Outside of robotics, Keira excels in all the sports she does, especially soccer, taekwondo, and flag football. She also expresses her artistic side in her French club and traditional art. For her, volunteering and the competition decorum is a huge step up from sports games. The community robotics brings is a crucial aspect that motivates her to explore her interest more. After high school, Keira plans on studying environmental engineering at UC Davis.

Ayden Salatandre

After discovering our program through the school’s club fair, Ayden developed an interest in creating robots, considering all the exciting activities they do in his committee. Interested in storytelling, Ayden is a frontrunner in the school’s DND club, developing their campaign through his extensive knowledge of video games. Though he has not figured on the college, he is set on majoring in something related with mathematics.

Hamehar Singh

Hamehar has always had interest in building things and has been in past robotics teams during 4th and 5th grade. He recently decided to rejoin and finds that he enjoys the fun community that he simultaneously feels productive in. When not at robotics, Hamehar plays tennis outside of school. After highschool, he plans on going to a college like UC Davis and wants to major in biochemistry.

Austin Thammasen

Austin started robotics in 7th grade with the RoboStangs, and found the engineering process interesting. As he continued robotics, he found that competitions with the common goal of teamwork inspired him to develop his understanding more. Not only robotics, Austin also participates in AFJROTC and martial arts after school. He plans on going to the U.S. Air Force Academy, majoring in engineering or computer science.

Kristal Tran

Following her brother, Ky, Kristal believes joining robotics was a rewarding endeavor. She considers bonding with people she would have never met before is a highlight of being in the program. Along with that, the skill of building a robot to make it come to life has been an aspiration of hers for a long time. In her spare time, she performs kenpo frequently, a style of karate. After high school, she plans on attending UC Davis or Irvine, majoring in computer engineering.

Like his classmates, Caleb found this interest in engineering through his VEX EDR team, the RoboStangs. The people there were his biggest factor in joining the club because of the welcoming environment it brought. When Caleb is not at robotics, Caleb is going out with friends or caring for his sisters at home. If he were to do anything after high school, he plans on pursuing a degree in electrical engineering at UC Davis because his family members have participated in all subsections of engineering except electrical.

Declan Wolf

Declan was motivated to join robotics because one of his teachers introduced him to robotics there, and he’s been hooked ever since. The different ways of build and create became a clear constituent of his interest in STEM. In his free time, he broadcasts gameplays on his computer, developing a small following in his gameplay. After high school, he anticipates on getting a job, though he is undecided on what to major in.

Layla Wood

Layla joined robotics because she enjoyed doing it in middle school. Her favorite part about robotics is that she learns things she didn't know before and makes new friends with people who share the same passion. Often, Layla listens to music or watches video gameplays on her phone. After high school, Layla plans on going to college out of state to get closer to her extended family.
